History

The Goanna static code analysis tool is the result of research and development undertaken with the labs of National ICT Australia (NICTA). Established in 2002, NICTA is a national organisation with five laboratories in four Australian cities: Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra and Brisbane. The Goanna static analyzer has been developed since 2005.
NICTA’s objective is to become a world-class research Institute and centre-of-excellence in science and innovation. NICTA brings together many of Australia’s and the world’s top researchers in ICT.
NICTA is an important part of Australia’s innovation system and seeks to generate new opportunities for Australian industry. The organisation’s focus is on use– inspired basic research to address the technology challenges facing industry, community, and the national interest.
