| Quick solution: In Eclipse goto Help > Install New Software and install. Goanna from a local archive, pointing Eclipse to the downloaded distribution file. Click Install, and Eclipse will guide you through the rest. |
For the installation of Goanna follow the next few steps:
- Ensure you agree with the Goanna license agreement, which can also be found at http://redlizards.com/evaluation-license.html if you are installing a trial version and http://redlizards.com/registered-license.html if you are installing a registered version of the tool.
- Place the distribution in your home directory. The package is typically named goanna_eclipse_plugin_X.jar, where X is the release number.
- Start Eclipse (3.4orhigher). Go to Help > Install New Software.

- Click on Add.

- Choose to add from an Archive.

- Select the Goanna plugin jar-file.

- Click OK.
- Ensure the check box for Goanna is checked and click Next.

From this point on an Eclipse wizard will guide you through installation. It will ask you to accept the license agreement, and depending on your current configuration, install required, but missing components, such as CDT.
At the end you will have to restart Eclipse to use Goanna.
